Neverland Musical

Success of the musical Neverland at the Teatro degli Oscuri, Torrita di Siena. Epiphany weekend double party for the people of Torrita who presented a high-class show staged by the Compagnia Teatro Giovani Torrita  to the Valdichiana public. Under the expert direction of a star on the national scene and beyond, Giulio Benvenuti, also coreographer,the large group of actors-singers surprised and moved to tears.
The story tells of the birth of the figure of Peter Pan: the creator J.M. Barrie meets by chance at Knsington Garden, in London, the young widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and her four lively children. One of the children Peter, a very introverted but very perceptive type, will inspire the playwright to create the figure of this famous character, the protagonist of his new theatrical comedy. The show in a tiny, ancient theater with its boxes covered in red velvet saw an animated succession of child, amateur and professional actors.
The well-known songs, in the Italian version, are touching: Believe, if the World Turned Upside Down and We're All Made of Stars up to the song Neverland which is now in our hearts. The musical has paved the way for us to get to Neverland by teaching young and old in the theater to fly with the imagination especially when the world goes upside down. But for this dream to come true, we need to believe, beyond appearances, in a fairy world in which our Tinker Bell will flood us with moon dust.
A simple setting suitable for confined spaces, exploited to the maximum, has been able to perfectly recreate the environments; the lyrics modeled on the excellent actors involved the audience in the hall to tears; a note of merit the costumes, the same as the musical Hello Dolly, kindly lent by the prestigious Compagnia della Rancia. Neverland, the fairy tale that tells one of the most beautiful fairy tales of all time.
