The Terrecotte Artistiche Senesi produce their terracottas in the heart of this landscape, in the CRETE between San Giovanni d'Asso and Montisi, in an incredibly lovely position - an open terrace with an extraordinary panorama of a full 180 degrees from Monte Amiata ti Pienza to San Quirico d'Orcia and to the grey hills of Montalcino from where the famous Brunello Wine comes. Our distinguished centre for artistic terracottas is 40 km from Siena, and 8 from Petroio. Our millennia old history of artistisanship is presented in the Museo della Terracotta, and tells of the traditional methods and talent and skill that have gained value over time and have benefited from new technology. This means that coupled with it's considerable natural advantages, this area is at the vanguard of the artistic production of terracottas.
